Nursing Education Assistance Loan Program
The Ohio Board of Higher Education, State Grant and Scholarships Department offers a nursing education loan repayment opportunity. The Nurse Education Assistance Loan Program (NEALP) offers financial assistance to Ohio students enrolled in an approved Ohio nurse education program. Nursing Education Loan Repayment Program (NELRP)
The Nursing Education Loan Repayment Program (NELRP) provides nurses an incentive to practice in “critical shortage areas” by repaying up to 85 percent of their outstanding student loans for their nursing program. In exchange, nurses work at a qualified facility for three years.

Nurse Faculty Loan Program
In response to the national nursing shortage, the Nurse Reinvestment Act was signed into law in 2002. Funding was appropriated by Congress to implement new programs to increase the number of qualified nurses. Applications for those programs can be found by clicking the button below.
2014 NURSE Corps Loan Repayment Program
Loan repayment assistance is available to registered nurses and advanced practice registered nurses working in a public or private nonprofit Critical Shortage Facility OR nurse faculty employed by an accredited school of nursing. For a full fact sheet on the program, click the button below.
