Effective March 2, 2021, temporary nursing licenses issued based on HB 197 have been closed. This means that anyone who held a temporary license but did not pass NCLEX is no longer authorized to practice nursing in Ohio and their license shows an end date of March 1, 2021 in eLicense. To obtain an Ohio license submit a new Licensure by Examination application. If you have a current ATT, it remains valid for a year and authorizes you to schedule and take the NCLEX at any time, however you must submit a new application to the Board.
